On November 8, 2005 the Roxboro City Council voted unanimously to support the submission of a Building Reuse and Restoration Grant on behalf of the Roxboro Community Charter School. It is encouraging to see this type of redevelopment in the City of Roxboro. Not only are 25 new jobs being created, but also a former textile mill building is being renovated and reopened that otherwise would have likely sat vacant for a number of years to come. Furthermore, the City agreed to fund the 2.5% match of $6,250.00.
