Brandy Lynch is the Director of Economic Development for Person County, North Carolina, where she leads the county’s efforts to attract investment, support existing industries, and create a sustainable, inclusive economy for future generations. A lifelong resident of Person County, Brandy combines deep-rooted community ties with a strategic, forward-thinking approach to economic development.

Since stepping into the director role in 2023, Brandy has guided Person County through a period of dynamic growth. With over a decade of experience in both the private sector and state and local government, Brandy is recognized for her hands-on leadership and collaborative style. Brandy works closely with regional partners, including the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, Carolina Core, and Kerr-Tar Council of Governments. She also collaborates locally with the Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Person County Tourism, and Uptown Roxboro Group.

Her motivation is personal as well as professional: “I want to make this a place where my children not only grow up—but choose to stay,” she says. Brandy holds a deep respect for the power of partnerships and believes in fostering a pro-business environment that supports both emerging industries and long-standing local employers. With a focus on infrastructure readiness, workforce development, and smart incentives, she is leading Person County into its next era of economic vitality.

Bryan is the Existing Industry Specialist for Person County Economic Development. Bryan is primarily responsible for local small business and entrepreneurial support, existing industry retention and expansion, and supporting workforce development and community partners.

Bryan joined the Person County Economic Development team in March 2024 and comes with eleven years of public service experience with state and local government. Bryan has a bachelor’s degree in criminology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Briana Whitt

Briana is an economic development specialist at Person County Economic Development. She provides administrative support to the department director and is involved in collecting data, conducting research, responding to requests for information, managing departmental operations, developing new marketing materials, overseeing social media, and handling various office tasks.

Briana joined the team in May 2023 and has several years of experience in diverse industries such as insurance, hospitality, and administrative support. Her educational background, along with her professional experience, makes her a valuable asset to the department.

In her free time, Briana enjoys spending time with family and friends on Hyco Lake (in Person County). She resides in Roxboro with her fiancé, daughter, and two dogs.
